B’s Community Update ⭐️
Hi, everyone! I hope that your May has been filled with joy and good times. 💃
I know it’s here that I usually say “Let’s get into my updates…” However, I’d like to add a personal note before I do.
As the co-founder and CEO of this company, taking my responsibility to serve you with the utmost care, I feel led to have a moment of transparency with you.
Partnering with Paul to lead this company has been a dream come true for me, but it has also come with a cost.
That cost is that I can no longer neglect the fact that I have several active disabilities that prevent me from functioning like a typical 30 year old.
As many of you have shared with me during my time covering the customer support calls (a time I miss and cherish), startup life is not for the faint of heart.
And though my heart is stronger than ever, unfortunately at this time, my body is not. Why is that relevant to this update, or to you for that matter?
Well, I have neglected my health to some degree to get this company where it is today. And though I wouldn’t change a single thing that I’ve done… I’m finding that I cannot bounce back as quickly as I once could.
I never realized how real burnout can be. Also, I wanted to provide context for the delay of the launch of our new website, which I will discuss next.
So with that, let's get into my update…
New Website Progress Update
As I alluded to above, the new website isn’t ready for launch just yet.
And though it may not feel like it, I am pretty sure I’m more eager for this website to be at your disposal than anyone.
Not only do I want to give you the best quality that we have the ability to give, but it would also be another thing checked off of my very long to-do list. 😅
However, for my own sake, I need a little more time. And I sincerely apologize for that.
Buttttttt… because I am, and we here at ATG Digital, are team #BOP (bullish, optimistic, positive), I figured I could at least GIVE YOU SNEAK PEAK OF THE WEBSITE! 👀
There will be a few tweaks between what you see in this video and the final product, but I’m so proud of what I have accomplished with this site so far and I hope that you feel the same way after viewing the sneak peak.
So without further ado, here is the New Website Sneak Peak Video!!!! 🥳
Well, that’s all for me today!
Thank you for being on this journey with us and I look forward to all that is to come.
Have a great rest of your weekend! ❤️
Substack 🥞 Questions
Question From Andy:
Hello, Paul! I wanted to get any updates on AXTI.... I think they are getting dogged. Honestly not sure how/why/what is causing the selling pressure. I am attempting to research, looking for possible entry points for long position. What is your outlook for AXTI?
Thank you,
Andy
Paul’s Response:
In my experience, seeing stocks in emotional terms, like “dogged,” increases stress. Stocks don’t get “dogged” — they’re often sold with no thought as to the value in the company they represent.
That happens in bear markets — sometimes even bull markets — when a portfolio manager just wants out.
I’ll look to cover AXT Inc. (Nasdaq: AXTI 0.00%↑) in my next Gold Tier update and give my take on whether it looks like a buy or not.
Also, I’ll play my broken record again to say that holding one stock is risky.
No one gets every stock right. And everyone from Warren Buffett to Peter Lynch made their money off a few big winners from an even bigger portfolio of stocks.
So, please use our Rules of the Game and make sure you have more than one way to win.
Question From Jim:
Dean,
When should we expect to see the upgraded portfolio features on the website? I’m particularly interested in the added information on the risk evaluation being assigned to each portfolio position. Will there be a timeliness rating too (eg 1-3 year, 3-5 year, 5-10 year)? Thanks.
Dean’s Response:
Hey, Jim! Thanks for reaching out.
Since we merged services like True Momentum, IPO Speculator, Extreme Fortunes, and Paul’s Secret Portfolio, we now list our perceived risk tolerance for stocks in this portfolio only.
This is mainly because the merged portfolios pursued different opportunities prior to being placed in the Gold Tier.
As such, when we sent trade alerts, we found that it was helpful to indicate our perceived risk of the stocks in this particular portfolio so community members better understand whether or not a trade was too risky, or just right for them to pursue.
Also, you should be able to see the date we entered positions in our portfolios.
Question From Johnny Invest:
Paul, if no one will buy bonds, won't that lack of demand make interest go higher, not lower? And if rates go higher, doesn't that fuel the false narrative even more, pressuring our OGI companies?
Also, what is your favorite long term bond investment?
Paul’s Response:
Interest rates being high, or even rising, is only a problem if it’s being caused by inflation. If interest rates are rising and the growth in our stocks is higher than that, the stocks with high growth rates will be valued at premiums.
That’s because when interest rates are high, growth that surpasses it is scarce, valuable, and in demand.
We’re entering a period of high (but not insanely high) interest rates, low growth, and declining inflation/disinflation/future deflation. This is the ideal environment for growth stocks with growth that’s higher than what the risk-free interest rate is.
Question From John:
Hi Everyone,
The update I'm most interested in is the one that keeps getting overlooked: ZOOM. I bought Zoom at $515 a share...it is finally moving in a positive direction, however is it your opinion that it's going to get anywhere near $500 a share? or higher?
Paul’s Response:
Zoom Video Communications Inc. (Nasdaq: ZM) is a small company. Its market capitalization is $18 billion. At its peak, it was $160 billion.
It’s also just beginning its journey to being, in my opinion, the most important communications company in the world. If that’s right, somewhere in the next three to five years, we should see ZM 0.00%↑ rise beyond the price you paid.
In my opinion, ZM 0.00%↑’s company and its stock are both moving in the right direction. Now, we just have to wait for things to unfold to see where the future peak is.
Question From Patrick:
Paul how do you access Truflation? How is it different from the government's inflation CPI? Thanks
Paul’s Response:
Truflation can be accessed at Truflation.com.
The primary difference that I focus on is this: Truflation changes in real-time. The government’s data is backward-looking. And the Fed is even more backward-looking.
By following Truflation, you can see where the trends are in real-time.
Question From Julia:
Can Paul update us on GMDA Gameda Cell. The PADUFA is approaching May23 and I’d like to know if his viewpoint on his original take is the same! Ty
Paul’s Response:
Gamida Cell Ltd. (Nasdaq: GMDA) has passed its PDUFA date and got approval for its drug Omidubicel.
I covered GMDA 0.00%↑ in the last Diamond Tier update. Watch the section on GMDA 0.00%↑ for more details by clicking here.
YouTube 📺 Questions
Question From Donnie:
Can you do an analysis on AQST? Seeing price targets everywhere from $5-$30, including market watch pro giving a $24 target. and. They are usually pretty accurate.
They make those listerine form drugs like suboxone. Would love to hear what you think Paul!
Paul’s Response:
I don’t believe this is one of our stocks.
I apologize, but I only answer questions about the stocks that are in our portfolio. We have nearly 300 of them, so my hands are pretty full covering those.
Question From Ms. Moore:
Thanks for the update Paul!! Always enjoy watching your videos. Can we get an update on TuSimple, please.
Paul’s Response:
TuSimple Holdings Inc. (Nasdaq: TSP) announced that it had received a delisting notice from Nasdaq because it hadn’t filed its quarterly or annual reports.
TSP 0.00%↑ is going to appeal this, and this’ll allow the stock to keep trading.
TSP 0.00%↑ has also found new auditors/accountants and is hoping to file the delinquent reports in the coming month or two.
TSP 0.00%↑ has seen an insane amount of administrative and management turmoil in the last 12 months. Still, the company’s technology keeps progressing.
TSP 0.00%↑’s trucks passed the million-mile mark on March 16, 2023. Also, its technology was validated by a certification agency.
So, we’re going to keep holding, because if TSP 0.00%↑ can bring its technology to market, it’ll be one of the leaders of the autonomous trucking industry.
Twitter 🐦 Questions
Question From Nap:
Paul’s Response:
No company is defined by one quarter.
Also, the trading around a company’s earnings can be misleading. Quarterly earnings created event-based betting trading that can often reverse itself after this period is over.
3D Systems Corporation (NYSE: $DDD)’s quarter was, overall, quite good. Its dental business continues to lag because it’s sensitive to consumer confidence and spending.
Let’s see what happens during the rest of 2023!
Email 📧 Questions
Question From Joel & Kathy:
Hi Paul, would you please comment on Mullen? MULN
Thank you!
Paul’s Response:
Sorry, I don’t know this stock, and it’s not in our portfolio.
Question From Tony & Georgette:
Hey, Paul!
I’ve been a long time subscriber since back at Banyan Hill and now I’m with you at ATG. I held all my stocks through the crash and took a slacking but I’m assuming they’re gonna come back with time.
Lol hindsight I would’ve sold at the peak and bought back in as they crashed. I was wondering if you can do a review on plug power – just curious on your thoughts if they’ve changed at all?
Seems like a lotta doom and gloom lately.
Keep up the great work thanks for all you do! I like the new ATG forecast infrastructure and fee schedule!
Paul’s Response:
When I was younger and stressed out about one of my stocks crashing, my mother told me, “They always rise and fall, Paul.” And so it is with our stocks.
Sometimes you have to endure a terrible bear market and a crash before you get your big money profits. And that’s what we’re going through.
Plug Power Inc. (Nasdaq: PLUG) the company continues to do well. PLUG 0.00%↑ is clearly being sold daily by someone who wants out at any price. When they’re done, we’ll find a bottom.
However, as a company, it continues to be the leading hydrogen energy platform.
Question From Michael:
Paul, what do you think of JEPI as a long term investment? Very stable, low volatility and yielding over 11% paid monthly around the 6th of every month . . .
Paul’s Response:
I don’t know JEPI, and it’s an ETF, not a company. So, it’s not something I look at or focus on.
Paid Member 📂 Questions
Question From Mel:
Question: Why didn't you recommend selling STEM last year when it was $18.00 or so? What's the point in holding stocks like this to just see it go to pennies? At what point do you recommend to exit from a bad investment?
Paul’s Response:
I might’ve done that if I had a crystal ball to tell me when to sell to avoid volatility and/or losses. However, I don’t have one.
I’ve held Stem Inc. (NYSE: STEM 0.00%↑) in our model portfolio because I still like the prospects for the company.
Question From Robert:
SHLS looks like a good pick and winner. IBD likes SHLS. Are you going to put SHLS in the Silver Portfolio?
Paul’s Response:
The goal of the Silver Tier portfolio is to give folks an introduction to small-cap, mid-cap, and even microcap stocks.
So, it’s unlikely we’ll add Shoals Technologies Group Inc. (Nasdaq: SHLS 0.00%↑) to the Silver Tier portfolio.
Question From Addi:
Paul and team,
Can you please comment on your latest take on:
UPST please...(especially given the tough macroeconomic environment we are in right now).
What are your thoughts on the increasing talk of a recession at the end of 2023/early 2024?
Paul’s Response:
Upstart Holdings Inc. (Nasdaq: UPST) is a very young company using AI as its technology to determine lending decisions.
In my opinion, UPST 0.00%↑ is going to benefit from the turmoil in the legacy banking sector. The legacy banking sector has effectively stopped lending, and that leaves an opening for new world companies using AI to replace them.
At this time, there’s no sign of a recession, and I have my doubts if there’ll be one. That’s because with a labor shortage, unemployment is going to stay low, and incomes are continuing to rise.
Question From Tatiana:
I would appreciate it if you addressed VYNT again. The company announced delisting from NASDAQ, the next day after this update, and fell even more. Do we still believe in it?
Also, I’m not sure if I missed it but what do we do about BGRY? Could you also touch on LICY and SHPW?
Thank you for all you do!
Paul’s Response:
I looked at Vyant Bio Inc. (Nasdaq: VYNT) and it's decided to forego a listing on Nasdaq to save money.
VYNT 0.00%↑ will trade under the same ticker symbol on the OTC, or over the counter exchange, starting May 12.
Trading on the OTC means that VYNT 0.00%↑ isn't required to keep a minimum trading price or follow the rules of the Nasdaq exchange.
VYNT 0.00%↑ says it'll continue to make quarterly and annual filings and update shareholders on its pursuit to find a buyer for the company. I’ll follow up on this in the next Diamond Tier update.
And I’ll cover Li-Cycle Holdings Corp. (NYSE: LICY 0.00%↑) and Shapeways Holdings Inc. (NYSE: SHPW 0.00%↑) in the next Gold Tier update.
With Berkshire Grey Inc. (Nasdaq: BGRY), we’re going to wait and see if someone makes a higher bid for the company. If that doesn’t happen, when the deal closes, you’ll get $1.40 for every share of BGRY 0.00%↑ you hold.
Question From James:
Love the video as always, Paul. I like that you are merging a majority of your services into Silver and Gold.
In the future, do you plan to make Silver and Gold more equal? Right now Gold outweighs the Silver tier 4 to 1. Keep these videos coming!
Paul’s Response:
The services are set up right now because of how ATG began — as a successor to various services at Banyan Hill.
Our goal is to have the Silver Tier be an introduction to everything we offer (other than options trading). Approximately, the Silver Tier is what the Profits Unlimited service used to be at Banyan Hill.
Long term, the Gold Tier is a mix of positions in small-cap and midcap stocks which is a legacy of four different subscription services from Banyan Hill.
Our goal in the Gold Tier is to see our positions recover, take profits or smaller losses, and cut this portfolio down over time.
From there, we can vary our portfolio in size based on what’s going on in the market for small-cap and midcap stocks.
The Platinum Tier houses shorter (not short) trades in options/crypto and replaces three shorter-term trading services at Banyan Hill.
And the Diamond Tier will have long-term microcap stocks replacing the 100X Club.
Hope This Helped! ❤️️

Paul and the Gang,
I just want to say thank you for all you guys do!! You probably hear that a lot but i just want to reiterate how much i appreciate you and your team.
B and Team,
Don't stress about the website, your health is more important. As long as the fundamental information is there for access that's most important. Other UI stuff can come later. Quality over Quantity is most important. Take care and be well!
